Our Approach
Healthy Property Limited was founded on a simple observation: mould is consistently misunderstood, consistently mismanaged, and consistently causing preventable harm to the people living and working in affected buildings.
General cleaners and builders do not have the training, the equipment, or the methodology to resolve it. In most cases, their intervention makes it worse.
Our approach is built around four non-negotiable steps.
Test first, using air and surface sampling analysed by an IANZ-accredited laboratory.
Contain properly, before any physical disturbance of contaminated material.
Remediate to standard, using IICRC S520-compliant methodology with full containment and PPE.
And certify independently, with post-remediation clearance testing and a Safe Occupancy certificate signed off by a a certified specialist.
None of these steps can be replaced by cleaning.
All of them are necessary to produce a verified, documented outcome that protects the people inside the building.


Our Story
Healthy Property Limited was built on a clear conviction: that mould in New Zealand buildings is causing serious, preventable harm to the people inside them, and that most of the industry response to it is inadequate.
Adults spend 80 to 90% of their time indoors. The quality of that air directly affects health, performance, and wellbeing. New Zealand has one of the highest asthma rates in the world, and peer-reviewed research has established a direct dose-response relationship between mould in homes and asthma risk. The problem is real, it is measurable, and it is largely invisible without specialist assessment.
We started by testing homes. Types of Mould Commonly Found in New Zealand Buildings
High Risk and Toxic Mould
